About me

David McKay is a remarkable figure in the realm of academia, an Ivy League graduate who embodies the passion and commitment necessary to take the realms of physics beyond traditional classrooms. His journey, which includes teaching physics to homeless people in Nepal, is a testament to his dedication to accessibility and inclusivity in education.

Following his immersive experience in Nepal, David ventured to the United Kingdom, where he became a distinguished faculty member at the prestigious University College London (UCL). Here, he further honed his teaching skills, engaging with a diverse student body and tackling complex physical concepts with creativity and dedication.

David's teaching experience expands over a decade, and he has consistently demonstrated an ability to adapt to various learning environments. For the past ten years, he has offered private tutoring for the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, helping students navigate the rigors of this demanding curriculum with his clear and effective teaching approach.

Recently, David joined the team at Nail IB, a platform committed to providing high-quality resources for IB students. As a physics course creator, he is working tirelessly to distill his vast knowledge of the subject into an accessible and effective course that could benefit IB students worldwide.

David McKay is more than an Ivy League graduate and a Physics teacher. He is an advocate for equitable education, a dedicated tutor, a course creator, and above all, a true believer in the power of knowledge to transform lives. His unorthodox teaching journey is an inspiring example of how education can be taken to new, impactful dimensions.
